I have to tell you you. I’Ve always enjoyed your mode well like when you put you posted something on stage uh the other day where you were wearing um. You know that cheetah jacket you have on stage yeah and i love that, because los angeles is the only home where you can look at somebody and is just like. Are they super poor or super rich yeah? No, it’s a hundred percent and you have no clue and you can’t tell by their car. You can’t talk. There’S! No honestly, the only way to tell is the load of their credit card yeah those though the metal ones yeah. If you don’t have a metal credit card, you should not have that car. Sir listen la is the only place where you can go to the fanciest restaurant in the world, and i’m there determine me and you i’m in my hat and t-shirt and like yeah. Listen! Oh well, i was thinking about that. One time “i m loving” do you know that restaurant matzah that’s on um highland and on melrose yeah, yeah, yeah, garamosa or something i don’t know yeah and i moved there on mushrooms with my ex-boyfriend and we were dressed like we was like animals, i mean we had Just gotten a check like one of us, had get like a residual or something so like oh fancy dinner. So then we’re like let’s take mushrooms over warren, which is the worst mistake ever to be the poorest people in a restaurant. But we terminated up searching the richest because we were, like you know, there’s something about socks and slips at a illusion eatery that screams, like i’m a billionaire, oh because yeah people are like they don’t care that much yeah. 100 yeah. I agree with it there’s something, though, also there’s a liberty like when you get that check right, and you know you don’t have any money and you know you’re, just gon na spend that check you you’re like do you want an extra plate of mac and cheese? We’Re not gon na eat it it ordering it. You know what i necessitate and you merely yes, there’s a liberty to that where you’re like this is 300 or whatever it is that i’m not saving, i’m spending it all right. I invest a great deal of money on crab legs. If i’m being real, do you really? Oh, i love a good crab leg. I adoration merely a suitcase of crabs. Do you? Do you go out to a luggage of crabs? Do you go out to a restaurant to get onto or do you buy them and cook you get it? You will back in the working day. I would go to like red-hot and juicy and it’s brand-new orleans mode and they give you merely pouches. It’S simply bags of whatever you order. My dogs, by the way, couldn’t be in a more bothering feeling. It’S i’ve not hated them until this day, i’ve loved every second of them, and i’m looking at them today, travelling i’m going to throw you back over the wall. You’Re going back to mexico you’re going to remain jim yeah. Oh, i haven’t even announced that to the people yet people i just disappeared for like almost a month, i was so depressed. My dog got you guys. My dog get mange by the way todd. I cannot tell if this is the right thing, because it’s just us separate, but the other one like lights up when each of us are talking like the side by side view like this one lights up when we’re talking when the differences between or maybe it doesn’t. Is this the view look to see? What’S in my wardrobe, i know i love it. It looks like it could be my closet, so you’re all moved here. I learn yeah like this is where the merch is and work. I keep my weird and, like my mushrooms “re around” and my week it’s a mushroom closet, mushroom closet. There comes a time in every man’s life where he has to get his own mushroom wardrobe. They used to have the man cave and now it’s the mushroom closet “i m feeling” mushrooms, have gotten so popular. I “ve spoken to” one of my friends, who’s um sober. You know, and i was like oh how’s, your temperance and he’s like. Oh it’s great. I started microdosing mushrooms and i’m like. Oh we’re , not even counting it anymore, we’re not even counting it. It dude we’re in the cataclysm so anyway, so i kind of talked about this on high live, but my viewers have not heard this yet. I had a like a magnet to the most negative crazy for like a few months, everything went crazy, so my they have begun doing structure on my suite all day. Every day we have sundays off and saturdays. They don’t do it some some saturdays. They don’t do it, but it’s every day it starts at 7. 30. It runs till four, it’s so, and every surrounding apartment, they’re doing demolition. Things are getting knocked off my walls, it’s literally like it’s absolute hell. It’S there’s all these, like um they’re mexican mexican workers running by no disguises. Nobody, people are coughing nobody’s doing it’s literally the craziest thing: it’s absolute inferno, um yeah, they cut our internet. We didn’t have internet for 2 day. They think that was going to happen, or did they just no, they just inadvertently cut it. They merely have no regard for the fact that we live here so because we’re in all these surround things, they’re, only cutting pipes and doing stuff like we just won’t – have hot water for periods. It’S just like, annie they’re , not working on your home , no they’re working on all the suites around me and they’re, only inducing hell like it’s just it’s just. I deter i’m getting up earlier today because i’m like they’re , not gon na steal. My morning, like i’m , not waking up to them, i’m, like i’m gon na give my period better than this, so that’s been happening, i’m not getting in these battles with them, because it’s just unbelievable at this level it only attains no sense like. Why am i paying my lease and then the building was supposed to the building was supposed to it? Got the building was purchased by another corporation, some like large-scale, rich company, that buys a cluster of houses. So then they came in this was before covet. So they came in and they thought they were gon na have the sweet thing where they’re gon na buy us all out, and then they were gon na knock the whole thing down and do it and then nobody took the they offered a bunch of bargains to People i wasn’t home the day they were offering bargains, so they hop-skip my door okay, so i just oh i’m so mad. So then, so everyone’s like yeah, they offered me like sixty thousand that for me, seventy thousand people are like they offered me thirty, but i’m not gon na. Take it and i’m like i wouldn’t take 30 either wait. They were offering people thirty thousand dollars to leave. That was the low-pitched they were offering people like seventy thousand, but everyone craved like a hundred all these people in this building. It’S like a melrose place, like style and also dramatically too there’s like exes that live in the building and brand-new married couples and, like everyone’s lived here, they all went to college together everyone’s, like friends that lives here so there’s like. Maybe six families left and people left that live here and they all know each other and then it’s me and eleanor kerrigan lives here: wait ellen ortiz! There eleanor lives there, but she’s, been back in philly and like to run and stuff um, and so, but all the other apartments are not surrounded by the suites that are empty. We are the only ones that are so. They hear structure like on the other side of the building. They have like no clue and they’re all mad, because their parking smudges get taken away by building. I’M, like i’m, worried about him your parking smudge, but anyway, so i call the guy. So i go. I go out while they’re doing all the construction they’ve slashed our internet, i’m like so now. There’S two days i can’t work like i do this todd edits. So it’s like. We need our internet right and um. So i’d like nullify my podcast for the working day and then um we’re like in this fight with them, and i proceed it’s. I think it’s up because i’m the only one they didn’t give a buyout to and then all of a sudden like sorcery. I get a call from this 3110 amount and it’s this guy who’s. Like hey, i’m michael i’m dealing with the buyouts. I heard you wanted a buyout. I must have missed you the day i was like going by and i go okay he’s like how much do you want to go 60 and he’s like? Oh, you know that’s too high. He get me down to 37 000 and i’m like that’ll, be enough for me to. I was going to put all my stuff in storage. Go back. East quarantine in airbnb have thanksgiving with their own families. This was the beginning of the month. I was like so it was stressful, but i was so happy. I was like this is perfect i’ll realise my mothers. Eventually, because that’s been just like a whodunit i have to solve like i don’t know how to like crack the code of how to see my mothers yeah, but so that would do it and then put all my stuff in storage. And then i have enough money to set a pair months down and overlook my credit and get like a region by the beach or something so i was like this is great, so the person goes all right. I’Ll wire, you fifteen thousand dollars in a second here, and i travel great i’m about to give him my info. Then he calls back. He starts. You know what we’re not doing. Deals anymore. We decided to stop to this – is an entire day of negotiating that we’d. Had i’m like what i don’t understand, why wouldn’t everyone take the deal because it was before covet and everything they’ve all lived here forever? Their rent is like 800, for you know what i mean and they’re not like the money they were offering. If it does end up getting levied, which i’m under the impression that if you get it, if it’s given to you in a certain way, you don’t get levied on it, but so they were worried. They were gon na get taxed, and then they were worried that, on top of that, like it only wouldn’t not they’re, never gon na found nothing. That’S not like three times their rent right, and so it just didn’t matter, and they all are friends they all like. Have lived here for years, they just don’t want to move, but there’s like kids like in school and they’re, just like jackhammering like it’s like they have no, it’s it’s ridiculous. So anyway, so we thought we were going to go home. I was all excited to my papa told my nieces and then they just took it away. So then i sunk into a different. I shouldn’t have let it get me, but i was so sad and then right when that was happening, my puppy got mutilated, so he started scratching his eyes and he started to bleed and he would get these scabs. And i was like, oh my god and i was so worried about him and took him to the vet. The vet threw him on stuff, but then all of the hair started falling out. So now he’s bald i’ll. Show you him in a second i saw monday. I know my people haven’t seen a human. I’Ve been stopping him trade secrets, but i’ve been so cute. I think you should deter him like that shave around this chicken cute. He does look like a chicken boy now and i was thinking about it. I was get all this because i got him from i will by the way like have you talk at some phase? I realize that i’ve just completely hijacked i’ve just been. This was like the intro i was going to do. I made a plan. I was like. I’M going to see do an intro before that. Like we’ll do this, then i’ll do an intro and i’ll get all this like talk out about what what i’ve been up to and then we’ll just be like me and josh, and then i just cannot. I have no control of my mouth, which was very good for boys when i was drunk, but now i’m not good. It’S not good as a host, but anyway the dog’s hair fell out. He gazes crazy. I thought he was like. I was just very worried about him. He was very uncomfortable itching all the time, but now he’s better. He simply gazes crazy and um computer. Just to be honest, he does look pretty cute and now nobody considers everyone thinks he’s a save now. So i’m not in difficulty anymore, wait because he has mange people think he’s arrested yeah. He looks like a save. Nobody thinks that this is a nobody remembers “ive spent” 800 bucks on this hound and got him from a mexican puppy mill, 800 yeah you’re. So cute. Let me ask you a question because i know you’re super close with your folks um, how like how has that been? How has this been, because i know like i love watching videos like the videos of your mom and dad to me, i loved, watching that i know they’re so funny, they’re so funny. But how is that like? How has that been for you like, like? Is this? The longest you’ve ever been with that’s 100, a long time i my dad get ought to have open heart surgery like very he had a he had to get like all this stuff done, and it was very fast. It was like within three days we found out. He needed to do all this stuff and it was a really serious thing and he had a risk of stroke and all this material. That was in 2011, in february 11 february 11, 2011
A good media roster is contributing to bring your company news to the attention of correspondents and get advertisement. After all, if you are sending out a press release or PR pitch, you want to target the right audience. Below, we testify you how to create a media roll — one targeting the right people — in 5 easy steps.
What is a Media List?
A media roll consists of media contacts from report stores, magazines and online publications — and specifically ones that attract your potential clients. It contains names, email addresses and other datum. Some call it a press roll or media contact list.
Why do you need a listing? Suppose you are issuing an announcement of a brand-new product, grand opening or other report. With a index you know where to send your news. Most people do individual outreach utilizing their index, and also mail liberates out over the wire use press release distribution sites.
Buy or Create Your Own Media List?
PR pros may need lengthy rosters having hundreds or thousands of identifies and mailing address. It’s possible to purchase media rosters — something those in large enterprises might want to consider — applying one of the PR tools below.
However, for neighbourhood small and medium-sized companies, media indices are often short, sometimes just a dozen contacts. For a small list it is better to create your own so you can target it better. Quality is more important than quantity.
5 Steps to Create a Media List
Here are five simple steps to create a media list. Start by name the market you hope to reach with your report. Then identify the media contacts. Next, set up a spreadsheet. Then gather all contact details and other datum. Add mentions and update your roll from time to time. Let’s dig into the details 😛 TAGEND 1. Define Your Target Audience
The first step to creating a media contacts roll is to identify the type of people you want to reach with your company news. These will include potential purchasers of your products or services, or those who influence buying decisions.
For example, suppose you operate a neighbourhood family restaurant and you have an amazing brand-new menu to publicize. Your target audience might be local residents within a 25 -mile radius who like to dine out and have disposable income.
For example number two, let’s say your business sells financial software. Your ideal customer is a finance manager or someone in an accounting firm. Your target market will be national in scope, consisting of business people with a need for finance software.
Do you be seen to what extent different each target is? They eat different kinds of media so your outreach design must be tailored.
Pro tip: if you’ve previously set up buyer personas describing locating, demographic profile, interests and the types of media they expend — those personas will be helpful here.
2. Identify Journalists and Media Outlet
Step 2 is where you identify the media outlets likely to reach your targets. You also need to identify the members of the media( journalists, editors) to add.
Determine the media outlet. Put yourself in your buyer’s shoes and find media publications and report stores that your target buyer generally frequents. Do the stores handle content similar to your news? Have they pass coverage to competitors? How big-hearted is their readership? Pick relevant selections so you don’t waste your time. Find the right person in the media outlet. Search for a journalist who cover-ups your thump. What kind of content do they cover? Do they write narratives that they are able to get your target’s attention?
Let’s look at our two examples again to illustrate what to look for.
Example 1- a neighbourhood eatery: Wouldn’t it be great to get a story in the food or lifestyle sections of local newspapers? Neighbourhood report areas such as Patch or Coal Region Canary are another type of store to target. Finally, don’t forget local meat blogs, e.g. Philly Food Adventures. For a local business, location is super important.
Example 2- a finance software firm: Look for business publication sites that controllers speak. Search for trade books serving the accounting industry or websites that review software tools. Relevant sectors or niche is more important than the location of the media outlet in this example.
Pro Tip: Don’t be afraid to add stores to your media contacts roster. Neighbourhood media and trade pubs are always in need of a tale and willing to review PR pitches and press releases.
3. Decide on a List Format
For this step, the simplest way to set up a contact index is to create a spreadsheet or Word doc with columns. Include the identify of each contact and how to reach them.
Make sure to include more than identifies and contact information. How much detail you need depends on your persona. PR professionals who represent many clients will want more detail, covering information such as industry and location. But the marketing manager in a small company might not, for example, need to specify location because all its media contacts would be local.
Add mentions about the types of press releases or media pitches that might be most successful with each reporter.
Save time by commencing with a template( discover our free version below ).
4. Begin Adding Contact Information
The next step is to find and enter information for the media contacts. Search for bylines to identify columnists as “youre reading” books in your industry. When you hear a writer’s name on sections you like, add it. You got to find some on Twitter, which attracts a lot of media people. Some media representatives may contact you to get on your list.
Keep it targeted. Remember, a high-quality list of a handful of the right people is better for public relations than thousands of media contacts who can’t get you in front of your target audience.
You will be emailing your contacts individually, so all should be worth your time , not only fill up rows on a spreadsheet. After a few days take a second pass and remove any media contacts if you don’t think they can help you reaching your goals.
5. Update Your Media List Regularly
The final step is to update your index regularly so it will be ready the next time you need it. Think of your media list as a work in progress.
Add new media contacts, of course. Periodically cleanse your listing. Remove outdated media contacts such as when reporters or editors move on.
Note when you had a great experience from a tale. This helps you focus on media list contacts who are more receptive to your pitches.
What Knowledge Starts on a Media List?
The information on a media listing should include contact details necessary to reach out to reporters, editors and bloggers with subjects for 😛 TAGEND Name of news store, media publication or blog locate Website URL Journalist name Job name Email address Phone number( optional) Topics embraced or “beats” Note
Keep your list tilt. The temptation is to collect too much information, needlessly inflating your workload. For example, are the social profiles of your media contacts really necessary to send a story idea or press release? Also, you will likely pitch a tale via email so a telephone number is optional, at best.

How Do You Develop Media Contacts?
Great PR involves more than a spreadsheet, wide distribution of a press release, or a clever narrative tone. Good media relations are essential.
Make an investment in a relationship with key media contacts. Here are tips for shaping the best possible use of media contacts 😛 TAGEND Know your people. Know the primary narrative interests of every contact on your media list. Nothing sours a media relationship faster than receiving an irrelevant media pitch where the PR person hasn’t even read your content. Include a personal touch. Personalize communications with calls. Pick a speech starter with every contact. Ask about family or vacations if they’ve come up in discussion before. Nobody in the media wants to feel like they are only one of a hundred people on a mailing list. Use CRM. Customer relationship management software does more than save period. It can assist you in nurture relationships. The right tools help you manage media relations by be tracked of personal details, your last conversation with people, etc. for key contacts on your media lists. Should I Include Social Influencers on a Media List?
Include bloggers, influencers and podcasters in your PR strategy. One influencer with an Instagram following can spark wide discussions in your marketplace. Some people keep a separate social network influencer list, but it’s perfectly fine to add them as media contacts in order to way them.
You don’t necessarily need to send a press release to these people. Committing contacts in conversation can be more effective. Bloggers may be more receptive than reporters to tale hypothesis, but experiment the blogger first to determine how they respond to story pitches for their blogs.
Do I Actually Need a List of Media Contacts( can I Use HARO Instead )?
Platforms like HARO do not take the place of having your own contact list for PR. A reporter writing a story employs HARO, or an alternative we like better called Qwoted, to seek out expert informants on topics. When you subscribe as a potential source you get notified of media requests, but you have to watch your inbox and answer fast.
As helpful as such PR tools are, they are limited. They put media people in control of the topics the articles are about. The beauty of your own press list is that instead of waiting for media people to contact you, you are in control. You are the one to contact press people and shape the PR about your brand.
In conclusion, a contact index is worth its weight in gold. A index intensifies the narrative pitching process. When you have all contact details at hand, you are always prepared for PR outreach.
